Three rounds, three partners, done
Four players make exactly six possible partnerships, and each round of doubles uses two of them at once. Three rounds covers all six, which is why this schedule stops at three — there is nothing left to schedule. Follow player A down the sheet and you can watch it happen: partnered with D in round 1, C in round 2, B in round 3. Every other player's line works out the same way.
In practice that is about forty-five minutes if you play games to 11 and change ends promptly — short enough that most foursomes just run it twice. If you do go again, keep the same rotation and reset the scores. The partnership balance is already as even as four people can make it, so reshuffling gains you nothing.
If you want a longer session without adding a court, bring a fifth player. You each pick up a bye, but it takes you from three rounds to five.
Only one court and three rounds? King of the court is the other way to use a single court with four people: winner stays on, and with only four players the queue never runs longer than one pair.
